Kilbroney Forest Park - The View from Cloughmore Stone

Kilbroney Forest Park - The View from Cloughmore Stone

This was a quick and fun hike up from the bottom car park to Cloughmore Stone and then on to Kodak Point in Kilbroney Forest Park which lies just southeast of Rostrevor.

We didn't have all too much time on this hike to stop and take photos due to it being one of our last days in Northern Ireland and having family obligations but I'm delighted that we were able to fit it in!

I think the one thing I like most about the hikes in Northern Ireland at this time of year was the distinct lack of midges attacking us every time the wind died down...

Inspirations for Narnia

It is said that C. S. Lewis may have gained his inspiration for the wonderful world of Narnia from this beautiful part of the world.

Following the trail up, at Kodak corner you can find a brilliant vantage point overlooking Carlingford Lough with a wooden bench carved with some of his most famous quotes.

Second edit features some grass in the foreground

I couldn't decide what edit I liked most from the above two... Part of me likes the out-of-focus grass in the foreground of the second picture but I'm not too sure if it's too much.

These were all taken on my Sony a6400 with the Sigma 24-70mm DN DG Art lens with a CPL.
